How to Measure

Use the following measuring guide to find your window measurements.

Things to look for
There are often obstacles that we wouldn’t necessarily catch without being told to look for.
Scan the area around your window for any of the following obstacles.
  • window cranks (placement)
  • heaters (baseboard, wall unit, floor grate, radiator etc…)
  • furniture near or in front of the window
  • drywall returns, wood framed windows, boston headers
  • casing depth (inside and out, and window sill depth)
  • light switches and electrical outlets
  • proximity of ceiling
  • specialty window shapes ( ½ moon, triangle, etc…)
  • existing blinds or drapery that will be staying in the window along with the new treatment
